![]() Bobbie EvansBobbie Evans has faced a number of significant obstacles in her life but she has never let anything get in the way of her goal to get a college degree. As a single mother she wants to set a positive example for her young son by showing him that “it’s how you overcome those obstacles in life that matters the most.”
She considers herself “one of the working poor” and she works hard to balance her family’s needs with a full time job and her classes. She sets her goals high and is pursuing a double-major in Accounting and Business Management and has successfully maintained a 4.0 grade point average.
Bobbie credits the speech class she took at Clark State in helping her gain valuable interviewing skills. She currently has a job she loves in city government and has passed the Accounting Civil Exam, qualifying her for a higher paying position as an accounting clerk.
“What I am learning at Clark State is helping me make it in the real world.” Bobbie hopes to continue her education at a four-year college and then pursue a Masters Degree.
